largest and most complex package I have ever assembled for BitGamer. The idea 
behind it is to make it as easy as possible for everyone to obtain a complete 
set of existing Taito Type-X HDD dumps that will run on ArcadePC v1.4. I have 
tried to make the setup process as simple as possible for you and have also 
tested each game accordingly. Also, the Evil Ryu and Oni unlocker patch has been 
applied to Super Street Fighter IV for you as well as this fix for the corrupted 
file in the Beatmania dump. Everything else remains untouched (outside of the

introduction, I tried to make this as easy as possible for 
you.</font><br><br><center><b><font color="red"><font size="4">Setting 
Up</font></font></b></center><font color="white"><font size="3"><br>1. Choose a 
directory that you wish to install ArcadePC and extract "ArcadePC Loader.7z" 
there<br>2. Extract each of the game archives (or at least the ones you want) 
into the "\Games" subdirectory (it will be created when you extract the Arcade 
PC loader).<br><b>NOTICE:</b> For some reason, most anti-virus software will 
flag "config.exe" from the BeatMania archive with a Trojan downloader called 
"Win32/Troxen!rts". As far as I know, this is a false positive and file is 
completely harmless. All config.exe does is let you change the controls.<br>3. 
Launch "Loader.exe" in the ArcadePC directory<br>4. Select a Game<br>5. 
Configure your preferred controls, resolution, and game settings (where 
applicable). <br>6. Double click the game to play<br><br></font></font>
<center><b><font color="red"><font size="4">Help/Troubleshooting 
FAQ</font></font></b><font color="white"></font></center><font color="white"><font size="3"><br>This section 
will address some of the issues I have encountered while testing each and every 
game as well as some general inquiries you may have. I will gladly add to this 
based on your feedback/comments<br><br><b>Q:</b> What is the point of using 
ArcadePC when you can launch the games individually?<br><b>A:</b> The loader 
simply makes it far more convenient for you to adjust the settings and launch 
each game. You don't have to use it if you don't want to though. All games are 
stored in the \Games sub-directory and can be run from their respective 
loaders.<br><br><b>Q:</b> The framerate is very low on certain games. How do I 
improve it?<br><b>A:</b> Either lower the resolution (higher ones may 
drastically impact performance) or you may also try and run the game directly 
from is respective sub-directory as well (I had to do this to get decent frame 
rates with the two Street Fighter games). For Otomedius, I actually had to 
maximize the game's window manually to get it to run smoothly.<br><br><b>Q:</b> 
Yikes! The game runs way too fast!<br><b>A:</b> Turn on VSync in your video 
card's control panel and that should cap the framerate at 60.<br><br><b>Q:</b> 
Game X crashes on load (sometimes with some MTS error message I can't read). Any 
way to fix this?<br><b>A:</b> I ran into this with a few games. Here are some 
possibilities:<br>
<li>There is an issue with your video hardware. For example, I know "Samurai 
Shodown - Edge of Destiny" has problems with ATI GPU's and so I couldn't get it 
to run no matter what.<br>
<li>Some games require a specific writable drive letter. If it's Otomedius 
complaining about nvmem, you will have to create a writable drive "F:\". I'd 
reccommend clearing that drive letter if it's in use and typing "SUBST f: 
C:\temp" without quotes in a command prompt (feel free to change C:\temp to some 
other folder if you wish. The game's output will be stored there). For the 
BlazBlue games, you will need a D:\ drive if you don't have one already. Keep in 
mind that the virtual drives created through subst will disappear when you 
reboot your machine so be sure to stick a batch file that runs them into your 
Startup directory in the start menu so that it re-mounts the drives each 
time.<br><br><b>Q:</b> Why are The "BlazBlue" Games missing backgrounds and 
sprites?<br><b>A:</b> Seems to be yet another Direct3D issue with ATI cards to 
which I have not been able to find a fix. For me, it only affects Calamity 
Trigger.<br><br><b>Q:</b> How come certain options are disabled for some 
games?<br><b>A:</b> Not all games are fully configurable. In other words you may 
not be able to set the resolution or even controls on certain 
titles.<br><br><b>Q:</b> What the hell? My display flipped 
Sideways.<br><b>A:</b> All the vertical scrollers will do that upon launching 
them. Don't panic. The display will return to normal after you exit. It sure 
beats trying to play them sideways though.<br><br><b>Q:</b> Beatmania's audio 
seems to be out of sync<br><b>A:</b> <span style="white-space: nowrap;"><a target=_blank class="userlink" href="http://www.bitgamer.su/userdetails.php?id=193500" target="_blank"><B><span class="UC_POWER_USER">wohdin</span></B></a></span> has informed me that this 
game is NOT going to sync well on just any LCD monitor (or really any non-CRT, 
non-fixed-Hz monitor) because the game's timing relies on very strict framerates 
(specifically 59.95 Hz). You can correct this with <a target=_blank href="http://www.bitgamer.su/details.php?id=19644" target="_blank"><u>Powerstrip</u></a> if you want or in my case, I 
have vsync enabled in my video card's control panel (to lock the framerate at 
60Hz) and the game is very much playable for me.<br><br>
