 | THIS GAME IS FULLY PLAYABLE BY NON JAPANESE PEOPLE!                  |

 | One of the best NGC games ever! - And definetly the best space       | 
 | shooter for gamecube!                                                |

 | Currently available in Japan only. Star Soldier on GameCube is a     | 
 | remake of the fondly remembered PC Engine and Famicom title Star     | 
 | Soldier that later had an N64 sequel Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth.  | 
 |                                                                      | 
 | An overhead shooter, originating in 1986, there are no surprises to  | 
 | be had here. You simply cruise up the screen, blasting away, earning | 
 | points and defeating bosses. Its pure no-frills shooting action but  | 
 | these days, this is a good thing!                                    | 
 |                                                                      | 
 | Hudson Soft has updated the graphics to include fully polygonal      | 
 | environments and enemies, massive explosions and huge boss attacks.  | 
 | It's very difficult to compare the new game to the old, as the       | 
 | change is so dramatic. Even the most die hard Star Soldier fan will  | 
 | have a hard time recognizing the game.                               | 
 |                                                                      | 
 | With all these changes, the game resembles a modern-day shooter,     | 
 | minus the more complex gameplay ideas like combos, chains and the    | 
 | screenfulls of bullets that have turned off the non-hardcore sh'm'up | 
 | freaks from the genre. In fact, the game has some nice features that | 
 | many modern blasters lack, like long levels and a reasonable play    | 
 | time before you see the credits role.                                |
